Program Description

This Diploma Course has been developed to cater for specialization in ICT. The diploma is divided into three modules:

  • Diploma in information communication technology Module I
  • Diploma in information communication technology Module II
  • Diploma in information communication technology Module III

The course encourages the learner to be versed with the current trends in ICT and it equips the learner with Knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform system operations, system analysis, design and development besides performing network system and support duties.

Objectives

The course is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge to:

  • Perform Systems operations duties.
  • Perform System analysis, design and development duties.
  • Perform network and system support duties.

Craft Certificate In Information Technology

Program Description

This course is intended to equip the trainee with the knowledge, skills and attitude which are responsive to the challenging needs in the computing industry. The course will allow the graduate to work in a salaried employment or self-employment. During the course the trainee shall be exposed to Computer Programming, User Support, Computer Application, and Operating System.

Outcomes

By the end of the course, the trainee should be able to:

Install computer hardware and software

Maintain computer hardware and software

Use programming skills to provide solutions to existing problems.

Assemble and disassemble computers

Troubleshoot a range of PCs and associated peripherals

NB: Diploma Graduates from Both Information Science and Information Communication Technology can enrol for a one year KTTC Diploma in Education to Qualify as Computer studies Teachers in High Schools and Assistant Tutors in Technical institutions.
